Casual Counselling and Structured Day Care

Capri Hospital has been providing private alcohol and other drug inpatient services for over 12 years. Capri offers a complete continuum of care: medical detoxification, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment and continuing care. It is Capri Hospital’s philosophy that alcohol and other drug dependence is best treated in an inpatient setting with the aid of an inter-disciplinary team consisting of psychiatrist, psychologist, AOD counsellors, social worker, MH nursing staff, recovery coaches, and recovering people.

However, for some less developed alcohol and other drug related problems Capri Hospital offers private confidential outpatient treatment services by qualified staff experienced in both inpatient and outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment.An initial assessment is required to determine what outpatient services to meet individual consumer needs.If an outpatient consumer decides within the first month of treatment to transfer into inpatient treatment an amount equal to the total outpatient fees paid will be deducted from the inpatient costs of treatment.

Some consumers may be referred to the Capri Hospital Outpatient Day Programme and Continuing Care Services. Consumers accessing this programme will receive the full array of treatment that residential consumers receive, however they will reside in their own residence. This includes treatment activities Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 8am to 12pm. All meals are provided as well as 12 months of professionally-led continuing care groups on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

The entry requirement to this programme is a completed assessment, commitment to three-weeks attendance, and the ability to remain abstinent throughout the programme.Fee Structure:

Conditions of outpatient services:

• Payment must be made at the office at the time of the session, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
• Booking for outpatient services are to be made through Capri Hospital Administration Office, 160Waipuna Road East, Mt Wellington, Auckland - Call: 09 527 6090.
• Availability of outpatient services will be dependent on resources available.
• If you give 24 hours notice of canceling your session no fee for the session will incurred.
• Failure to attend a session without notifying the Capri office (09) 5276090 24 hours prior will incur a session fee as therapist time will have already been allocated.
• Capri Hospital will send you text prior to your appointment to remind you of your session.
• Consumers will be required to complete an Outpatient Admission and Initial Screening form as part of their first session.
